Which fast charger and cable for iPhone and Samsung?

November 2026 · 1 min read · WisdomUp team

A phone only charges as fast as the slowest part of the chain: the phone itself, the charger and the cable. Match all three and a phone that supports fast charging refills in a fraction of the time.

1. Find your phone’s port

iPhone 15 and newer: USB-C. iPhone 5 to iPhone 14: Lightning. Samsung, Xiaomi, Infinix, Tecno and most recent Android phones: USB-C. Older and budget phones: Micro-USB.

2. Pick the charger

20W USB-C PD — iPhones and most new Android phones. The OCD-24 is a 20W Power Delivery charger with a USB-C port and comes with a cable, for Rs.1,650.

18W QC 3.0 — Android phones with Quick Charge. The OCD-23 has a USB-A port and comes with a USB-C or Lightning cable, from Rs.1,130.

10–12W — older phones, earbuds and accessories. The OCD-21 (10W) and the dual-port OCD-22 (12W) come with a USB-C or Micro-USB cable.

These chargers have an EU 2-pin plug, take 100–240V and have short-circuit and over-voltage protection.

3. Pick the cable

For PD fast charging the cable needs USB-C at the charger end. The SJX-20 comes as USB-C to USB-C or USB-C to Lightning and is rated for 20W USB-PD. The SJX-47 shows the charging power on a small display, so you can see whether your phone is really fast charging. For a USB-A charger, a 3A cable such as the braided SJX-38 is enough.
