Choose a phone to see what charges it fastest.
iPhones and Samsung Galaxy phones fast-charge over USB Power Delivery (PD); a 20W USB-C PD charger gives iPhones up to the iPhone 16 family Apple’s full fast-charging rate, and Galaxy phones their standard fast charging (Super Fast Charging needs PPS). Many Infinix, Tecno, vivo and realme phones reach their 33–90W top rates only with the charger from their box — any WisdomUp charger charges them safely, more slowly. OPPO says its phones take 13.5W from a plain USB PD charger.
Check three things: the port (USB-C or Lightning), the charging standard (most phones fast-charge over USB Power Delivery, PD) and the watts. Apple rates iPhones 8 and newer for fast charging with a 20W or higher USB-C PD adapter; Samsung’s Super Fast Charging and Pixel’s top rates need a PD charger with PPS.
No. A phone only draws the power it can take. A USB-C PD charger and the phone agree on the voltage before charging starts.
For USB PD fast charging, yes: the cable needs USB-C at the charger end — USB-C to USB-C, or USB-C to Lightning for iPhone 14 and older.
